The specific celestial force imbued within by the divine is unknown-an answer waiting to be sought on the battlefield. Cunning Nephalem seeking an advantage in combat will undergo an angelic trial, crystallizing a symbol of their morality into pure, otherworldly perfection. Looking to turn the tide of an unremitting war between light and darkness, the Angels of the High Heavens have embedded a token of their righteousness in Sanctuary.
For an in-depth look at the seasonal theme, rewards, and the balance changes made between the end of the Patch 2.7.4 PTR and now, take a gander below. I imagine there'll be some amount of tweaking that we'll have to do - and some of the hardcore folks can potentially skip some pieces, if not steps - but that's the general idea. The light beckons for your faithful return to Sanctuary-Season 27, Light’s Calling, will begin on August 26 at 5 p.m. Our hope is that Gundabad content will get you ready for endgame, endgame will get you ready for 3s, 3s will get you ready for 6s, and 6s will get you ready for 12s. But that's where playing through Gundabad will help get you started on that. Your required progress in them will vary, based on the size of the instance and the tier, but you'll need to have some. For example, if you wanna do a Gundabad fellowship instance, you're gonna need to have traceries. We're hoping it's a good way for players to get comfortable with the experience, without the pressure of having to keep things maxed out as they go if you want to max out, cool, but it won't be required.Īt endgame, depending on what you want to do, you will probably be unable to ignore traceries. Enhancement runes are also level-gated, so you'll probably want to spend them about as frequently as you acquire them as you progress. There's no real downside to slotting as you level - you'll continue getting more slots and more traceries, and you'll be able to slot over old traceries with new ones as much as you'd like with no cost. We're balancing levelling around players having some access to traceries, as they'll be distributed to you as you level, so completely ignoring slotting them into your Legendary Items is probably going to make the experience more difficult for you. I mean, you could ignore the traceries, but I guess that depends on what you mean by "ignore". I also have a lvl 50 RK and lvl 100 LM which will be perfect for trial. They still can do a lot of content in these areas as well. I have some will classes at 130 which I can use to try this system before I make a decision. A normal weapon normally has other stats besides dps as well, some of that might be better then LI without legacies. The big question is "Can I ignore the legacies?". perhaps if people tested different level chars rather than kitting out all their chars at 130 in the best of gear and hitting dummies we would have more positive feedback. On BR, I had level 50 LI and could not reforge until i was level 55, 60.
I am probably asking for too much, but would there be a way the developers could provide something like a chart that shows character level - legendary item level - max item level (more for cap purposes)? Some transparency outside the Wiki would be nice
I may be wrong, but I don't think a lot of people would be happy going to new system at 130 and then when Gundabad drops 131 is a huge upgrade and they would have to go back and upgrade the legendary so soon. Will they have an item level jump at 131 like the rest of gear does every expansion? Will we have to reforge every level to keep them caught up or is it just at say 131 and 140? Then we will need to know if every level cap will have 15 or so upgrades like the 130 ones do.Īs for catchup - if one doesn't raid, or do instances would I be right in assuming they can just reforge at the beginning of an expansion level range and have easy access to the lowest tier of traceries to balance landscape around? My questions about the legendaries deal more with going forward since Gundabad is right around the corner.
